As you may have read in the GB minutes, we will soon have three new Working Groups: a reinstated Data Use Working Group, a new Publishing Working Group, and a new(ish) Technical Working Group. These working groups will advise the Board on request and on their own initiative.
The Data Use Working Group has been dormant for a while, but it is time to revive it. If you are interested in joining the new group, advising the Board directly on this topic, please keep an eye on your inboxes and this thread on Connect.
One of the things we hope to see happen, is some fruitful interaction with the new Publishing Working Group, improving data quality by better understanding needs of both parts of the community. Members of this group don't need to be an IATI member, but do use data in a meaningful way.
There will be more information from the Secretariat soon, including more info on some initial topics the Board would like advice on. The DUWG will decide on its own frequency of meeting, and will finalise the ToR (draft will be shared soon) together with the Board. It would be great if the DUWG finds time to meet in person during the Community Event on March 15/16.
